Statement of Faith
What TUI Asia believes.
The Scriptures
We believe The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and only they constitute the Divine Rule of Christian faith and practice.
2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-17
One God
We believe There is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper Object of Worship.
Deuteronomy 32:6; Colossians 1:15-17; Matthew 4:10
The Trinity
We believe There are three persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, undivided in essence, and co-equal in power and glory.
Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7-8
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ was God made manifest in the flesh, truly God and truly man. By His suffering and death He made atonement for sin, and by His resurrection there is eternal life for all who believe.
Hebrews 2:10, 7:27; 1 Corinthians 15:16-17
The fall
We believe Since the fall of our first parents, man is entirely unable, in his own strength, to find salvation and reconciliation with God, and is wholly dependent upon God’s grace and mercy.
Romans 5:12-14; Ephesians 2:8
Salvation
We believe Salvation, by God’s grace, depends upon repentance, faith in God, cleansing by the shed blood of Jesus, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 3:22-26, 5:8; 8:9-11; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8
Baptism
We believe Baptism in water is a personal and dynamic meeting with God, and a sign of the believer’s death, burial and resurrection in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4
The Holy Spirit
We believe It is the privilege of all believers to receive the power of the Holy Spirit to live holy and victorious lives. The Holy Spirit operates through gifts, ministries and manifestations to glorify Jesus, through His Body, to the world.
Acts 2:37-39; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
Ministry gifts
We believe Jesus Christ, at His ascension, gifted the Church with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the building up of the Body of Christ and the equipping of believers to the work of service.
Ephesians 4:11-13
Lordship
We believe Neither ritual, tradition, ceremony nor rite can replace conversion, relationship with God, or true worship. Nothing less than the Lordship of Christ upon a life is the mark of a Christian.
Galatians 3:1-5; John 4:23-24; Colossians 2:8
The Lord’s Supper
We believe The continuance of the Lord’s Supper, bread and the fruit of the vine as instituted by Jesus, so that we may discern the Body of Christ in its totality, unity and authority: a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death, a service of divine healing and health, and a prophecy of His coming, commanded to all His followers until that Day.
1 Corinthians 10:15-17; 11:23-26
His return
We believe The physical, triumphant return of Jesus Christ, to an overcoming and glorious Church.
1 Thessalonians 4:14-18
Jesus the Way
It is a Jesus university, founded on the lifestyle and model of Yeshua. Luke 2:52 says that “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men.” He grew and increased in His life in four areas, blooming in the environment He lived in, even though He was the perfect man.
Body
Physical intelligence: using His body at a maximized optimum level as a carpenter and then as an itinerant travelling Bible teacher.
Mind
Mental intelligence in wisdom, doing things well for the good of all, not confined to theoretical head knowledge that served nobody.
Society
Social intelligence: healthy relationships, and rebuking those who used people for their own selfishness.
Spirituality
Spiritual intelligence: not bowing to immorality, but excelling in moral education through His relationship with His Father, which fuelled Him to serve broken people.
